I am currently in L1B status and filed for AOS (I-140/I-485) in July 2007. My I-140 was approved last week and 180 days of pending I-485 are also over. My question is whether there is a huge risk involved in porting to a new employer using EAD, particularly because I do not have any other safety net like H1-B status. I understand, in case of I-485 denial, I will not have any other option to fall back upon. But if USCIS mistakenly issues a NOID or denial for some strange reason, would I have any other option to appeal without going out of country. Can I continue appealing such a potential denial from outside of USA and come if they reopen the case.
More specifically, I have heard some of the AC21 cases have been mistakenly denied or a NOID issues due to ignorant USCIS immigration officer. Can something be done to revive the AOS when there is no backup option like H1B? Would that action needs to be continued from outside of USA or can be done here itself.

HI,
I have a valid H1B visa stamp from company A. Now if I transfer my h1B to company B, and decide to travel outside US, do I need to go to the consulate and get a new visa stamp ?

I am planning to use AC21 and start a new job on EAD, although the reason I am telling my present employer is that I am going to home country and may or may notcome back. what happens if the employer revokes the H1B or can he ask uscis to stop all the immigration matters with me. I have finished 180 days hatch period ...:)

U can ask your HR (if they are willing) to create an account for u on the PERM website...u can then login and check the status.

This is such an open ended question. It will be very easy to answer if you can add few lines about your background, affordability and qualification(like GRE etc). If not the school names will be all over the place from MIT to the ABC University....as the word "Good School" is very subjective.

Hi,
My company applied for PERM for me. Short of asking our HR/attorney everyday what is the way to check status.
Its applied just last week and but I can resist the urge to check the status already (anxious because I need H1B extension soon). Any advice is appreciated. thanks.

I applied for extension of stay to California Sercice Center. But if I move to Texas, will be my case transfered to VSC??

if it is an extension of B2 status, I don't think your case will be transferred to a different center if you move to a different state. you just have to inform the service center regarding change of address(I think you can send a AR-11 form) this is just my personal opinion. please check with the lawyer who filed your extension or other experts

Hey everybody, My friend have a situation. He is from Haiti and he been in the USA since 1998 on a visitors visa but stayed. Graduated school, but couldn't do nothing else because of his papers, he lived with his sisters and they didn't work on it. Had a little situation in 2007 where he left the scene of an accident because he didn't have papers. They called it a felony, and now the (TPS) came around and he got denied because of that felony. He doesn't know where or what to do, don't have money for lawyers because he cant work. Anybody out there been there that knows what to do please feel free to do so. GOD bless

What is the deal with swift? I can render a scene with 6400 polygons, and
when I try to render one with only 390 I run out of memory!
No the shape is not more complex, in fact it is almost the same scene as the
6400 only minus many of the squares. Thats all that is in the scene squares, cant render squares with out what 200+ megs of ram. Im on a G4 any advice!

If you're wondering about the horizontal marks, we were encouraged
to crumple the photo (or physically alter) and reproduce the discrepancies.

Following is a great post regarding how to decorate our properties with custom value pickers that allow you to more easily gain access to an element name. My requirement is to populate the properties in a combo box when the user picks an element using the custom value picker.

I have an approved 140 with Sept 2005 PD
I have an I 140 and I 485 filed with Dec 2006. There is an RFE on this. I want to interfile I 485 with the approved I 140. Is there a possibility and if so what needs to be done.
I have submitted the response to the I 140 RFE. May be I will get a response in 2-4 weeks.
However, if the I 140 gets denied can I still Interfile my 485 with ealrier approved 140?
What are the options open for me to keep my 485 alive?
