I share your pain buddy.I also miss the July 2007 fiasco by 1 month due to my &^@#$% lawyer who took 1 year to apply for labor and kept me in dark .The most painful thing is to see my wife's frustration who inspite of job offers can't join becoz company does not want to sponsor.Just being optimistic is the only hope.
Does anybody have any updates on the I485 Pre--Filing new procedure, that last I read was that this has got postponed to June (USCIS half yearly agenda). This is the only raft and lifeboat for us in the deep sea!

I have a suggestion we need to meet the senators office in person and also try to get more visibility in terms of getting exposed to media may be channels like
a) AZN TV
b) India waves
c) CBS
d) NBC
Since we have hired Quinn & Gillispie we need to understand whats their strategic plan and what they have in plate for us. We need to have vision in front of us. All I am trying to say is identify the senators who would favor the CIR/SKILL Bill etc and have the immigrationvoice.org volunteers meet them in person. Some of the things I have mentioned may be redundant but, I wanted to make my point clear, calling the senators office just a week before with phone calls webfaxes etc is not just bearing any fruits as we have learnt from our past experiences.
I would request the senior members of IV to have a one-one meeting with Quinn& Gillispie and later update all the members here.

Hi,
My wife is on H4 and she has her H4 extension approval. But the local DMV says that they need to see a visa stamp in her passport to issue a DL. Its actually exchanging her out of state DL! Can anyone from NC (Raleigh, Cary, RTP, Durham etc) share their experiences please.

Guys good news from my side. Just got most awaited Card production Ordered emails for my wife and my son. I have not received the email for myself though. When I checked the status on Case Status Online site, I found that 485 for all three of us have been approved.
My priority date was Oct 2004 at NSC. Came to US in Feb 2000, so almost 8.5 years of waiting is finally finally over. I hope that NSC picks up the pace and approve all the people who are current.
Trust me!! I am not going anywhere. I will enjoy my green but at the same time will always work relentlessly to get the immigration reforms. I also prey from God almighty that all my friends/family members stuck in EB2/EB3 will also get their GC ASAP.
Wish you all the best, even though I have crossed the fence towards the greener pasture, I am always there to lend you a hand and help you climb up and jump across the fence.

Assume that an additional 150,000 I-485 applications were filed petween PersonA and PersonB
PersonB = PD of May 15, 2002 and RD of July 15th 2007.
USCIS starts pre-adjudicating cases based on Receipt date. Assume that by October 1, 2007, they have pre-adjudicated PersonA plus 9,000 of the 150,000 applications and haven't reached PersonB's application yet (they go by RD).
Assuming that the visa cutoff date in Oct, 2007 bulletin is June,2003 making both PersonA and personB current:
PersonA (PD of 2003) will get a visa number and get the case approved while PersonB (PD of 2002) with an older priority date will have to wait a while because his case hasn't been touched by USCIS yet due to the additional 150,000 filings in between that have to be pre-adjudicated first based on RD even if they have 2004/2005/2006/2007 priority dates!!

They can do "wild" approvals, however, they have to do it as per September visa bulletin. IF they dont have enough approvable 485s that are as per the Sept visa bulletin and if the approvable "ready to go" cases are past the priority dates of September, then they will be sitting unapproved as they CANT do any kind of "wild" approval.
Keeping all dates current in Sept (like july, but intentionally this time around) could have made is easier on USCIS to have more choice and easily find "ready to go" cases to assign and consume all visa numbers.
Then we can see a lot of EB2/EB3 approvals then from ROW and Philippines.
